This class is designed for learners ages 11–15.
There is also a completely asynchronous option for those who cannot make the live class.
A creative, hands-on course where learners explore how fashion reflects culture, power, and self-expression across history. Students analyze iconic styles, design their own looks inspired by different eras, and connect clothing trends to art, identity, and social change.
Each module is designed to be interactive, independent, and hands-on:
1. Asynchronous Work: Each week, learners will find a new module in their online classroom. Each module begins with an engaging lesson that dives deeply into the week’s topic, such as “The Power of Persuasion” or “Detecting Bias.” Students then explore three thought-provoking questions designed to spark independent analysis and reflection. To apply their learning creatively, they complete a project like an Evidence Board, Counter-Argument Map, or Persuasion Poster, building a Thinker’s Toolkit, a portfolio showcasing their ability to deconstruct complex ideas. The module is designed for 1–2 hours of self-paced learning each week.
2. Live Weekly Meetings: This is where the magic happens! Together, we dive into "The Arena." We will discuss the weekly topic, participate in structured mini-debates, and practice real-time rebuttals. Learners also have the opportunity to share their Creative Projects and get immediate feedback from their peers. Perfect for: Aspiring lawyers, future leaders, writers, and any learner looking to build confidence in their communication skills and navigate complex conversations in a fun, supportive environment.
