Family Coaching - Home Harmony Sessions

My Home Harmony Sessions are rooted in Family Coaching, offering neurodiversity-affirming, in-home support for families navigating the unique dynamics of raising children of all neurotypes. I focus on helping families understand that behavior is communication and helping households function more peacefully and predictably.

What Family Coaching Might Look Like in Your Home:

  • I join your family during real-life routines, mealtimes, transitions, downtime, chores, or sibling play.

  • While parents continue with daily activities, I observe, engage, and support your children in ways that reveal the why behind behaviors, whether it’s difficulty with transitions, sensory overload, or a need for autonomy.

  • I model strategies in real time and support families in rethinking how they communicate and connect.

Coaching That Cares for the Whole Family

  • My approach is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming principles, not compliance-based systems or behavior charts.

  • I work alongside parents to:

    • Develop visual supports, planning systems, and home routines

    • Identify patterns and unmet needs beneath behaviors

  • Improve sibling relationships and co-regulation

  • Explore behavior as communication

Support That Builds Connection, Confidence, and Clarity

  • Coaching is collaborative and family-centered, not prescriptive.

  • Sessions are followed by a written summary that includes:

    • Observations

    • Practical strategies tailored to your home

    • Follow-up sessions to refine tools over time

Parent Reviews:

"Since starting Home Harmony sessions with Ashley, we've learned so much about how to communicate a lot better as a family. The focus on declarative language has helped us express our needs and feelings more clearly. Learning how to give our kids more autonomy has not only boosted their confidence, but it’s also made them more comfortable communicating with both me and their dad. The changes in our home are incredible, and we’re seeing stronger connections and better communication every day. She is fantastic, my kids just adore her, and always ask, "Is it Ashley day yet?" -Amy O., Fairfax, Virginia

"As parents of 6-year-old neurodivergent twins who always compete for attention, we tried an ABA therapist, but it wasn’t the right fit. Ashley's approach, however, is completely different and so effective." - Terry and Shawna, Front Royal, Virginia

"We have had 3 sessions so far. I love watching my daughter, who is 8, and Ashley play together. It's really neat to see how she works. She listens to her without her even *telling* her what to do (my daughter is PDA and struggles with listening to anyone). These sessions remind me of the old Nanny 911 show, but without the mean nanny lol. She quickly built trust, teaches important skills, sets boundaries, and narrates everything in a way that feels natural. We are learning by just watching them interact :) " -Simrin T., Gainesville, Virginia
