Learner Guidelines

These courses are designed with the understanding that everyone learns differently, and that learning looks different from person to person and week to week.

1. You Are Welcome Here

  • You do not need to learn the same way as anyone else.

  • Your pace, process, and needs matter.

  • The goal is learning, not perfection.

2. Communication Matters

  • Please keep open communication with your teacher.

  • If you’re having an off week, feeling overwhelmed, or need extra time, let me know.

  • Accommodations can always be made, and asking for support is encouraged.

3. Support Is Always Available

  • If something feels confusing, frustrating, or “silly” to ask about, please ask anyway.

  • Questions are part of learning, and you will never be judged for needing help.

4. Flexibility Is Built In

  • If an assignment feels overwhelming because of how it’s set up or what it’s asking, tell me.

  • We can always find another way to complete the work that helps you actually learn.

  • A stressed brain doesn’t learn, and your wellbeing comes first.

5. Participation Looks Different for Everyone

  • Do what participation looks like for you.

  • Some weeks you may do more, some weeks less, and that’s okay.

  • Progress matters most!

6. Be Kind

  • Be kind to yourself and to others in all interactions.

  • Everyone is learning in their own way and on their own timeline.
