Meet Ashley
Ashley Bobst is a Nurse with 19 years of experience, certified in Neurodiversity Affirming Practice and an Educational and Behavioral Consultant. As an Autistic adult with ADHD and OCD, she brings a unique, first-hand perspective to her work. Her goal is to promote understanding and communication by helping others identify the antecedents of behavior, and teaching how to reframe, redirect, and deescalate situations before stress responses occur without trying to change the behavior itself.
Ultimately, Ashley aims to equip people with the tools necessary to support neurodivergent individuals in a neuro-affirming and inclusive manner.
Consultations are inclusive of all neurotypes, supporting both neurotypical and neurodivergent families.
My Services:
I offer both in person and virtual meetings.
At Raising Brain, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and behavior modification techneiques are not part of the approach. Instead, the focus is on understanding behavior, not changing it. Every behavior is seen as communication, and the goal is to explore the underlying causes (antecedents) leading up to the behavior. Redirecting before escalation helps children express themselves in safer, more effective ways.

I offer a unique perspective on creating spaces that are both accommodating and stress-reducing for neurodivergent individuals. My expertise allows me to identify subtle design elements that might increase stress—details that could be overlooked by a neurotypical person but can significantly affect behavior.

In this training, participants will learn how to recognize and adapt to the diverse communication needs of the public, especially neurodivergent individuals whose needs may not always be immediately visible. Neurodivergence doesn’t always present outwardly, which means that someone may appear fine on the surface but be struggling with sensory overload, processing difficulties, or anxiety.
