This month, students explored forensic science and investigative reasoning through hands-on mysteries, fingerprinting, coding, art, and creative problem-solving, building critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world investigative skills.

November 2025 – Anatomy & Physiology Unit Study

This month, students explored the human body through anatomy, physiology, and health, creating hands-on experiments, digital presentations, art, and coding projects to connect science, history, and everyday life.

December 2025 – Arctic Unit Study

This month, students explored the Arctic through geography, climate science, and cultural traditions, creating hands-on experiments, Arctic-inspired art, music projects, and community activities while learning about survival, global warming, and festive celebrations.

Future City 2026 Project Summary

Our Future City team took home the trophy for “Most Safe and Sustainable Highway System” at the Baltimore STEAM competition. Students designed Eco Paradise, an innovative, sustainable city featuring an underground T.R.A.S.H. system, practicing engineering, coding, and problem-solving while exploring real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

January 2026- Marine Biology

This month, our learners explored Marine Biology through science research, art, and collaborative projects. They investigated the extreme conditions of the deep ocean, learning about pressure, temperature, darkness, and the unique adaptations of deep-sea animals such as the anglerfish. They studied the different ocean zones and explored career pathways in marine science, including marine photography, conservation, research, and animal rescue.

February 2026- Paleontology 

This month, our learners explored the theme of Paleontology through science investigations, mathematics, media studies, and creative projects. They applied proportional reasoning to create scaled dinosaur drawings based on real fossil measurements and explored how scientists reconstruct prehistoric life. Learners connected fossil discoveries to human evolution while watching Your Inner Fish featuring Dr. Neil Shubin and discussing important discoveries such as Tiktaalik.
