December 2025 – Arctic Unit Study
This month, students explored the Arctic through geography, climate science, and cultural traditions, creating hands-on experiments, Arctic-inspired art, music projects, and community activities while learning about survival, global warming, and festive celebrations.

Future City 2026 Project Summary
Our Future City team took home the trophy for “Most Safe and Sustainable Highway System” at the Baltimore STEAM competition. Students designed Eco Paradise, an innovative, sustainable city featuring an underground T.R.A.S.H. system, practicing engineering, coding, and problem-solving while exploring real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

January 2026- Marine Biology
This month, our learners explored Marine Biology through science research, art, and collaborative projects. They investigated the extreme conditions of the deep ocean, learning about pressure, temperature, darkness, and the unique adaptations of deep-sea animals such as the anglerfish. They studied the different ocean zones and explored career pathways in marine science, including marine photography, conservation, research, and animal rescue.

February 2026- Paleontology
This month, our learners explored the theme of Paleontology through science investigations, mathematics, media studies, and creative projects. They applied proportional reasoning to create scaled dinosaur drawings based on real fossil measurements and explored how scientists reconstruct prehistoric life. Learners connected fossil discoveries to human evolution while watching Your Inner Fish featuring Dr. Neil Shubin and discussing important discoveries such as Tiktaalik.
